A longtime resident of New Jersey, JJ grew up in New York City where he earned a degree in Labor relations. JJ first made his mark as a non-fiction writer, offering sharp, satirical insights into the social taboos of politics, religion, and relationships, the very topics we’re told to avoid at Thanksgiving dinner. His work earned praise for its accessible style, biting wit, and ability to unpack complex ideas with humor and clarity.
 

Inspired by authors like Sir Terry Patchett, Stephen King, Rebecca Yaros, Brandon Sanderson, Sarah J. Maas, and Nelson DeMille, JJ often escaped into fiction to process the anxieties of modern American life. Now, he offers that same escape to his readers. Fiercely opposed to bigotry and bullying in all forms, JJ writes with a sense of purpose—hoping to both entertain and empower.

When he’s not writing, JJ is a self-proclaimed nerd, an avid piano player, and a burger aficionado who’s happy to travel for the perfect bite. A native New Yorker and proud husband of over 20 years, he credits much of his inspiration to his wife, Tina—and to the ever-repeating cycles of history and politics that demand new stories be told.
